The demand for food, feed, fiber, and forests is increasing. World population continues to expand and is expected to double in the next 25-50 years.
Since 1987, Dr Bhore has put in his efforts to promote agriculture business. Various activities carried out in the last 30 years which enable him to contribute his experience, knowledge, university research findings through various seminars and workshop to create employment and entrepreneurs.

Education is the process for development of the human mind. It increases the power of observations, analysis, integration, understanding, decision making and adjustment to new situation.
a) Opportunities in the field of agriculture – horticulture industry and the potentials.
b) Commercial cultivations of selected high paying fruit, exotic vegetables, flowers and spices crops, facts and figures.
c) Marketing of the produce, strategies to be planned for the supply in the prime metros, selected cities, to the retail outlets, door to door delivery, to the processing units and for the exports.
d) Trading of the farm produce, purchase different products from the pockets of cultivation in the season, collect it at a center, clean it, grade it and pack it and distribute it to the agencies as per the terms decided or sale the produce online or as per the systems designed.
e) Contract, Contact farming on certain terms to cultivate, procure and supply the produce with the parameters specified for the quality, variety, price and season and time of supply.
One of the seminars was focused on the subject ‘Challenges faced by agriculture sector and the possibilities to explore it using modern technology.
Cultivation of high paying cash crops, off season crops as per the market demands, primary processing and packing of the produce for value additions, profitability for marginal and small land holding farmers.
Management of land, plantation and water resources must be coordinated, with decisions based on the best cost-effective, innovative environment-friendly technologies. The topic helps farmers upgrade the systems in improving productivity and profitability.
Dr Bhore promotes agriculture education conducting seminars and workshops at the Institutes, Villages, district and State level [Great level of Extension work carried out at field level without hesitation].

2. Advance cultivation practices implementing proven technology, crop, season & location specific
The challenges lies to guide, train the participants by providing examples on the facts and figures of business module for:
a) Crop selection, micro climate requirement, soil, soil fertility, organic farming – procedures and practices.
b) Integrated nutrient management, integrated pest management, organic farming procedures, Harvesting schedules, post harvest techniques, importance of grading, packing and labeling.
c) Resource mobilization is a major challenge in implementing the programs and policies.
The programs are designed to strengthen the competencies of the participants
Now, Dr Bhore feels that we have technical capability to build enduring national food security based on sound environmental principles, but what we often lack skills, farming interest professional skill, and farmers’ participation.
